Council meetings for the Order and held each May, usually in the same location where our October retreat is to be held. Council members include the four elected officers, the immediate past Abbot, and appointed leaders of various work areas are expected to attend.
In addition, Chapter / Association Priors (or their representatives) and our Canons are encouraged to be present. In preparation for each Council meeting, a Book of Reports is prepared informing members of the work of the Order.
Council meetings are also held October, ahead of or following annual retreat. Often these meetings help us prepare for the General Chapter meeting held during the retreat.
Minutes of the Council meetings are available from Sr. Jeanette Block, Chancellor General. If desired, a Book of Reports is available from Br. George R. Crisp, Prior General.
